Safety, Solar Control & Decorative Film
Safety & Security Window Films help reduce the risk of personal injury, property damage and loss caused by natural disaster and crime. Available in a wide range of tints, styles and grades, our films are specially designed to deter everything from the high winds of storms to the costly eyesore of graffiti. We invite you to explore the various solutions available to protect your home or office building.
Vandalism is more than just a nuisance and eyesore; it’s also a huge financial drain to public and private budgets. The cost of repeatedly replacing windows and glass that has been scratched up or marked with spray-paint can end up being prohibitive, not to mention time consuming and disruptive.
Graffiti-Free is window coating for the commercial and retail marketplace. When vandals do strike, it won’t be permanent. The window stays put, and just the film is replaced, at a fraction of the cost. Graffiti-Free can also be used on many non-porous surfaces other than glass.
Decorative films elegantly enhance the look of glass interiors. These decorative window films allow you to easily retrofit existing glass with an array of classic patterns to compliment any décor. With Decorative film you can achieve the distinctive look of etched glass at a fraction of the cost.
A truly customizable product, the films can even be cut into a one of a kind design for your unique setting. The designer films also allow you to create private, interior glass spaces while still welcoming in light. The ease of installation and affordability of Decorative products make them the obvious choice when customizing your interior glass. We offer a wide array of patterns appropriate for each individual environment from commercial to residential. Perfect for office partitions, conference rooms, entrances, staircases and bathrooms.
Federal Tax Credits
For Energy Efficiency
Individuals purchasing qualifying window films placed into service January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2016 may be eligible for a tax credit under Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code.
The IRS allows homeowners to take a tax credit of 10% of the cost of solar control window film installed in their primary residence, with a lifetime maximum credit of $500 per taxpayer.
The tax credit is a direct dollar for dollar credit, or reduction, in the amount of taxes you must pay, not just a tax deduction from income. Only the cost of the film itself, and not the installation cost, qualifies for the credit. In order to qualify for the credit, the window film must be installed from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 and must be certified to be an Eligible Building Component Envelope in your geographic area.
To take advantage of the tax credit, you must do the following:
Make sure the film you have installed qualifies for the credit. Qualifying products vary by the geographical climate zone in which you live.
